You need to get some gold parchment looking paper for this invitations. Get a picture from the internet of Cleopatra and use it as background image on the invitations.

Egyptian Treasure Hunt
Before the party hide girl rings, bracelets, Egyptian tattoos, plastic compasses and little plastic magnifiers all over the party area. The day of the party let the guest look for the items. Provide them with a small bag to put their findings in.
Divide the kids into two groups. Pick one kid from each group to be the mummy. At the count of 3 let each group wrap their team leader like a mummy (in toilet paper). The group who wraps their mummy the fastest and in the best way, wins the game.
Give the kids the Egyptian alphabet and help them spell out their own names.
Invite the kids to make Egyptian wall paintings.
Let the children dance like Egyptians.
Finish the party off with a piñata. Fill the piñata with lots of candies, tattoos, and chocolate coins.

To make this Egyptian birthday party cake you need to make a butter cake from a box (add a tsp of vanilla). Bake the cake in a jelly roll pan, cool well in the refrigerator. Cut the cake into 9", 7", and 3" squares.
Out of the centre of the 9" square, cut a 5". Out of the 7" square, cut a 3". Use butter cream and tint it tan.
Assemble the cake, using frosting between the layers for glue. The hollow 9 and 7 -ers. Fill the opening with gold plastic coins. Then the 5, 3, and 3". Then freeze the cakes. Save the rest of the frosting.
The day before the party use a long bread knife and sew off the steps at a 45 degree angle. Use the waste to fill in the pyramid. Then frost the pyramid on the serving platter, tint it brown, and pipe in bricks around the pyramid.
Crush some graham crackers, the crumbs that sticks to the serving platter, use them as sand dunes. Freeze the cake until the morning of the party. Then let it thaw the day of the party.

Thank You Note
Get some gold parchment looking paper and gold envelopes. Glue a picture of the corresponding guest to the paper, (so take lots of pictures during the birthday) and let your daughter write her name at the end of the Thank You Note.
